On September 23, 2017, The Stars of the North Chapter of Women in Aviation International will bring all of the passion, exploration, learning, and excitement of aviation and aerospace right to you. This is a FREE, open house-style event for all who attend. There will be numerous aircraft on display for you to see and learn about and a variety of exhibitors with hands on activities there to introduce and teach to you all the different aspects of aviation and aerospace. For the Girls Scouts there will be an opportunity to earn an Aviation badge. All of this and much more!! This will be a family friendly event and all are encouraged to attend.
NOTE: The registration for this event has reached the limit of 2000 participants. If you do try and register you may be added to a waiting list. Below is a link for more info.
There will be a (separately organized) Young Eagles event at the Flying Cloud airport on the same day. The YE event is for the Girls in Aviation Day participants only and is not open to the general public. Volunteer Young Eagles pilots are needed so if you are a YE pilot please use the following link to signup to participate. Please be sure that you have taken the EAA-sponsored Young Protection training course and received your certification paperwork from the EAA before signing up. The signup deadline for YE pilots and ground crew is September 10th.
